Evangelos Paraskevaidis funeral scheduled for Saturday in Ioannina

The funeral for Evangelos Paraskevaidis, Professor Emeritus of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Ioannina, will take place on Saturday, October 17, at 13:00. The service will be held at the Holy Church of Saints Constantine and Helen in Stavraki, Ioannina.

Paraskevaidis, who passed away at age 69, was a highly regarded scientist and educator known for his international contributions to women's health, particularly in the prevention and treatment of cervical diseases. He served as Director of the Obstetrics-Gynecology Clinic at the University of Ioannina for many years.

In lieu of flowers, his family has requested that donations be made to two organizations supporting cancer patients and their families: the Association of Cancer Patients Volunteer Friends of Doctors ‘K.E.F.I.’ in Athens and the Association of Parents of Children with Neoplastic Disease ‘Floga’.
