Evanston hosts Big Bite Night to connect students with local restaurants

The annual Big Bite Night, hosted by the nonprofit Downtown Evanston, recently brought Northwestern University students to local businesses to explore the city's food scene. The event featured 23 local businesses offering samples to students wearing purple wristbands.

This year’s event highlighted Willie’s Wallet, a startup from The Garage that provides students with exclusive restaurant discounts through a mobile app. The app allows students to access various coupons for local vendors for a quarterly fee.

Evanston’s broader dining landscape includes a variety of options ranging from seafood and Thai cuisine in the downtown area to Italian and seasonal cooking on Main, Central, and Howard Streets.
