Evansville graffiti wall launch canceled due to permitting delays

The launch event for a new legal graffiti wall in Evansville, originally scheduled for Saturday, August 15, has been canceled due to permitting delays. Organizers from Artist Avenue and the Jacobsville Fine Art Association stated that necessary permissions were not secured in time following concerns raised by local entities.

While the immediate launch is on hold, organizers indicated that the project is not necessarily canceled. They are still exploring the possibility of using the original location once approvals are obtained, which are expected at least one week after the initial date. Additionally, discussions are reportedly underway regarding a potential alternative location that could be approximately five times larger than the original site.
