Eve Air Mobility to produce flying cars in Brazil by 2028
Eve Air Mobility, a subsidiary of Embraer, has moved into the physical implementation phase for a factory in Taubaté, São Paulo, to produce electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.
Production of the Eve 100 model is expected to begin by the end of 2028. The facility is designed with a modular approach, starting with an initial capacity of 120 aircraft per year and scalable to 480 units annually. The plant will initially employ approximately 300 workers.
Before full operations begin in Taubaté, six prototypes will be constructed at Embraer’s facilities in São José dos Campos to validate assembly processes and support technical testing required for certification by the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC). The aircraft is designed to carry four passengers and one pilot, featuring a flight range of up to 100 kilometers.
