Eveliina Salonen leads women’s disc golf World Championships

Eveliina Salonen leads the women’s disc golf World Championships in Milford, USA, following the second round of competition. The former world champion holds a three-stroke lead over American Missy Gannon, who recorded a 58-throw round.

Finnish teenager Iida Lehtomäki sits in third place, five strokes behind Salonen. Other notable Finnish performers include Olivia Kindstedt in eighth and Silva Saarinen in tenth. Heidi Laine, who led after the first round, dropped to 12th place after a difficult second round.

The tournament continues with players returning to the Black Locust course on Friday, with final rounds scheduled for the Toboggan course on Saturday and Sunday.
