Evening Tours at Arona’s San Carlone and Night Visits to Mondolfo’s San Gervasio Abbey

The municipality of Arona will host the “Sere d’estate al San Carlone” summer evening program on 13 and 20 August 2026. Guided visits to the monumental statue of San Carlo Borromeo begin after 18:30, followed by a cocktail on the nearby Terrazza Paradiso. Participants can also climb the internal marble‑covered staircase for a view from inside the copper‑clad monument.

In Mondolfo, the Archeoclub d’Italia organized nocturnal tours of the National Monument Abbey of San Gervasio in July and August 2026. Historian Leonardo Antonio Carbone spoke on 10 July about the saint’s identity, and art historian Roberta Francolini presented on 4 August about painter Camillo Paciero’s work for the abbey. The events are part of the centenary celebrations of the abbey’s 1927 national monument designation and are free to the public on weekends.
