Event cancellations reported in Madariaga and Tigre

Two different cultural and gastronomic events in Argentina have been suspended or cancelled due to logistical and administrative challenges.

In General Madariaga, the Asadores Contest, originally scheduled for November 7 at the La Invernada municipal grounds, has been postponed indefinitely. Javier Volpatti, the Secretary of Production, stated that the decision was made due to the poor condition of the grounds following the Fiesta del Talar and upcoming rain forecasts. Volpatti noted that the weather conditions could jeopardize the significant financial investments made by local institutions in food preparation.

In Tigre, the Pre Cosquín folk music contest, planned for November 28 and 29, has been cancelled. Organizers blamed the municipal government for failing to provide an authorized venue or institutional support. Despite attempts to meet with Mayor Julio Zamora and intervention from the Buenos Aires provincial Secretary of Culture and Tourism, organizers claim the Tigre Culture Department refused to authorize the event.
