Everest Finance launches Sama Naffa savings platform in Senegal

Everest Finance has launched Sama Naffa, a new savings platform designed to democratize access to financial services in Senegal. The initiative allows users to begin saving with amounts as low as 1,000 FCFA (approximately 1.77 USD), aiming to make savings accessible regardless of income level.

The platform seeks to bridge traditional community-based savings methods, such as tontines and neighborhood funds, with the opportunities available in the regional financial market. To support users, particularly those less familiar with digital tools, the service combines a digital mobile experience with a network of local agents known as ‘Jambar’ who assist with account openings and platform navigation.

Khady Diouf, Managing Director of Everest Finance, stated that the goal is to allow individuals to save and invest progressively on the regional financial market. Licensed by the AMF-UMOA, Everest Finance plans a gradual rollout of the solution beyond Dakar to enhance domestic savings mobilization and financial inclusion.
