Everett economy driven by Boeing and emerging industries

Everett, Washington, continues to evolve as a significant economic hub driven by aerospace, manufacturing, and maritime trade. Boeing remains the city’s primary economic anchor, recently expanding its operations with the opening of a new North Line and adding 737 MAX production to the Paine Field site.

Beyond aerospace, the city is seeing growth in emerging sectors such as clean energy, fusion technology, and advanced nuclear development. The Port of Everett also plays a central role in regional commerce. Local leadership is currently prioritizing infrastructure improvements and connectivity to support a growing startup culture and a highly skilled workforce.

Paine Field, which transitioned from a military airfield to a major Boeing manufacturing and assembly site, is also expanding its commercial footprint with growing passenger services and developments involving Alaska Airlines.
