Everett youth participate in summer enrichment and maritime programs

Local youth programs in Everett, Washington, have provided various educational and career exploration opportunities this summer. The City of Everett’s Crimson Kids Summer Program offered a six-week curriculum featuring sports, arts, educational enrichment, and field trips to locations such as the Franklin Park Zoo and TD Garden. The program aimed to foster teamwork, leadership, and communication skills among participants.

In a separate initiative, the Port of Everett partnered with Sound Experience and the Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County to host a maritime career exploration day. Forty-five elementary-aged students toured the Port’s Waterfront Place and Seaport to learn about waterfront industries. The event concluded with a sailing excursion aboard the historic tall ship Adventuress, where students learned about navigation and vessel operations.
