Everland to launch walking safari expedition on the 12th
Everland, operated by Samsung C&T Resort Division, will launch a new walking program called ‘Wild Savannah Expedition’ starting on the 12th. This program allows visitors to explore the Lost Valley on foot, providing a close-up view of animals such as giraffes, elephants, and rhinoceroses, which were previously only viewable from vehicles.
The expedition includes the ‘River Trail’ section, which was formerly a paid program, now offered for free. Participants can walk along a footbridge between Safari World and Lost Valley to observe 15 different species, including herbivores and predators like lions and hyenas.
To enhance the experience, zookeepers will provide ecological storytelling regarding animal behaviors and the importance of conserving endangered species. The program follows a successful pilot run this spring that attracted 350,000 visitors. The expedition will run through the end of November and is available to all visitors via on-site registration.
