Everney Hernández Pulido jailed for facilitating transport of recruited minors

Everney Hernández Pulido has been ordered to prison by a judge following allegations that he facilitated the transport of four minors recruited by FARC dissidents. According to the Fiscalía General de la Nación, Hernández Pulido provided logistical support to move the adolescents from Popayán, Cauca, toward the Eastern Plains, where they were intended to join an illegal armed structure in the Guaviare department.

The investigation details that the journey began on January 5, 2025. Three days later, the National Police intercepted the vehicle transporting the minors during an operation between Castilla and Neiva, Huila. Prosecutors allege that Hernández Pulido coordinated the transport personnel, provided funds for fuel, tolls, and food, and supplied two vehicles and two motorcycles to execute the transfer.

Hernández Pulido was captured in Villavicencio, Meta, under a judicial order. A human rights prosecutor from the Cauca regional office charged him with the crime of illegal recruitment.
