Evert Grünvald joins Estonia national team following Hein injury

Evert Grünvald of FC Flora has joined the Estonia men's national football team ahead of their final Nations League match against Iceland. Grünvald replaces Karl Jakob Hein, the Werder Bremen goalkeeper, who has left the squad due to an injury.

Hein participated in the first two matches of the current Nations League window, recording draws against Iceland and Bulgaria. Although he missed the third match against Luxembourg due to health concerns, he remained part of the squad until his recent departure to undergo further medical examinations.

Grünvald, 25, has made 14 appearances in the A. Le Coq Premium Liiga this year and has played 102 matches in the Estonian top flight during his career with FC Flora. The upcoming match against Iceland is scheduled for October 6 at the A. Le Coq Arena.
