Everton and Crystal Palace complete Brennan Johnson and Dwight McNeil swap

Everton and Crystal Palace have completed a rare straight player swap deal involving Brennan Johnson and Dwight McNeil. Both players have signed four-year contracts, with Johnson moving to Everton and McNeil joining Crystal Palace.

Johnson, 25, arrives at Everton after a short stint at Palace following his move from Tottenham. Despite scoring 18 goals for Spurs last season, he struggled to find form in London. McNeil, 26, joins Palace after four years at Everton, seeking a fresh start following a previously collapsed transfer attempt in the winter window.

In addition to the swap, Everton is actively pursuing defensive reinforcements. The club has expressed interest in Crystal Palace full-back Daniel Muñoz and has been linked to targets such as Alistair Johnston and Aaron Wan-Bissaka as they look to bolster their squad under manager David Moyes.
