Newcastle United faces Everton in Carabao Cup round of 16

Newcastle United prepares to face Everton at Hill Dickinson Stadium in a Carabao Cup round of 16 match. A victory would advance the Magpies to the quarter-finals, where they would potentially face League Two side Fleetwood Town.

Newcastle head coach Matthias Jaissle expressed hope that the team can draw motivation from previous cup successes to secure another trip to Wembley. Following a 2-0 Premier League victory against Crystal Palace, Newcastle looks to maintain momentum, though they face squad availability concerns with Tino Livramento remaining unavailable and Lewis Miley listed as a doubt.

Everton, managed by David Moyes, enters the fixture seeking to break a streak of consecutive Premier League losses against Chelsea and Arsenal. While Everton has shown strength in earlier cup rounds, they have struggled with offensive efficiency in recent league play.
