Everton Bala nears Levski Sofia scoring record

Everton Bala, the Brazilian forward for Levski Sofia, is approaching a significant scoring milestone for the club. Having scored 29 goals in 107 matches, Bala needs just two more goals to equal the 31 goals scored by former player Cedric Bardon. Notably, Bala has reached this tally in fewer appearances than Bardon, who required 126 matches to reach his total.

Following a recent goal against Spartak Pleven, Bala expressed his commitment to improving his scoring numbers despite a lower tally compared to the previous season. He emphasized his role in the team and his dedication to training, particularly regarding penalty kicks, where he serves as the primary taker for Levski.

Looking ahead to European competition, Bala expressed confidence in Levski's ability to defeat Viktoria Plzen in their upcoming Europa League fixture, noting that the team's performance in the second half of recent matches demonstrates their readiness to compete.
