Everton secured a 1-0 victory against 10-man Ipswich Town at Hill Dickinson Stadium, moving up to fifth place in the Premier League. The decisive goal was scored in the 11th minute by Thierno Barry, who redirected a 35-yard strike from James Tarkowski into the net.

Barry had a second goal disallowed by VAR later in the match, as Brennan Johnson was ruled offside for standing in front of goalkeeper Christian Walton. Despite several attempts to equalize from players including Emersonn, Abdul Fatawu, Julio Enciso, and Abdoul Ouattara, Ipswich could not find a way back into the game.
