Everton sign Danish midfielder Christian Norgaard from Arsenal
Everton have completed the signing of 32‑year‑old Danish international Christian Norgaard from Arsenal on a two‑year contract that runs until June 2028. The transfer fee is reported to be around £7 million, though the club described it as undisclosed.
Norgaard, who earned 41 caps for Denmark and won a Premier League medal with Arsenal, made 20 appearances in all competitions last season, only seven of them in the league. Seeking a larger role, he said, “I felt I needed a change and to play a bigger football role,” and praised the project outlined by manager David Moyes.
The move marks Everton’s fourth summer signing and adds experience to a midfield that has also seen arrivals of Merlin Röhl, Tyrique George and Hayden Hackney. Norgaard previously spent six seasons at Brentford, where he was a regular starter and captain before joining Arsenal in the summer of 2025.
