Evgenij Komljanec declines Izola mayoral candidacy

Evgenij Komljanec, a long-time figure in Izola politics and former director of the Izola Health Center, has announced he will not run for mayor in the upcoming local elections. Instead, he will support the 'Ponosni na Izolo' (PNI) list by running as a candidate at the end of their electoral list.

Komljanec, a dentist and former deputy mayor, noted that while many residents encouraged him to seek the mayoral office, he wishes to focus on supporting the PNI team, its new faces, and its development program for Izola. He previously ran for mayor in 2018, reaching the second round of voting.
