Evil Dead Burn to premiere on HBO Max October 2

The horror film ‘Evil Dead Burn’ is scheduled to make its global streaming debut exclusively on HBO Max on October 2, 2026. The release is timed to coincide with the Halloween season. Following the streaming launch, the film will air on the HBO linear network on October 3.

Directed by Sébastien Vaniček and written by Vaniček alongside Florent Bernard, the film is the sixth installment in the ‘Evil Dead’ franchise and the third since the 2013 reboot. The story follows Alice, played by Souheila Yacoub, who seeks solace with her in-laws at a secluded family home following the death of her husband. The gathering turns into a struggle for survival as family members are transformed into demonic entities known as Deadites.

The production features an ensemble cast including Hunter Doohan, Luciane Buchanan, Tandi Wright, Erroll Shand, and Maude Davey. The film is produced by Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert, with Bruce Campbell, Romel Adam, Sarah Spurway, Jose Cañas, and Lee Cronin serving as executive producers. While some reviews note a darker, more brutal tone compared to the franchise’s previous horror-comedy elements, the film maintains ties to the established series lore.
