Evil Dead Burn trailer reveals brutal horror and R rating ahead of 2026 release
The next installment of the Evil Dead franchise, Evil Dead Burn, has released its first trailer. Director Sébastien Vaniček, known for uncompromising horror, promises a visceral experience with intense gore and psychological tension. The film is produced by series veterans Sam Raimi, Bruce Campbell and Rob Tapert.
The U.S. Motion Picture Association has assigned an R rating, citing strong horror violence, graphic gore, explicit language and intense scenes. The plot centers on a woman who, after her husband's death, seeks comfort with his family, only for the gathering to descend into a nightmare as the demonic Deadites begin to possess those present. Evil Dead Burn is scheduled to open in theaters on 10 July 2026, continuing the series’ revival that began with the successful 2013 remake.
