Evion Group joins US Department of Defense consortium

Evion Group (ASX:EVG) has joined the Cornerstone Consortium, a public-private industrial base vehicle managed by the US Department of Defense (DoD). The consortium is designed to strengthen American supply chain resilience by accelerating the research, development, and integration of manufacturing capabilities into the US industrial base.

Membership grants Evion direct visibility of and eligibility to respond to competitive DoD solicitations. The company’s assets are positioned to meet US demand for critical minerals, which currently sees the US importing 100% of its fluorspar requirements and the vast majority of its graphite concentrates. Evion’s portfolio includes the Carp Fluorspar Project in Nevada, the Maniry Graphite Project in Madagascar, and the Panthera Graphite Processing Plant in India.

Managing Director David Round stated, “For a company with a domestic American fluorspar asset and an operating non-China graphite processing business, that is exactly where we want to be.” The move follows the appointment of former Australian Ambassador to the US, Arthur Sinodinos, as a strategic advisor to the company.
