Evo Pueblo movement announces political reorganization and 2027 congress
The political movement Evo Pueblo has announced a series of organizational steps aimed at restructuring its political instrument. During a national meeting in the tropics of Cochabamba, the group resolved to convene a Second National Refoundation Congress in March 2027.
As part of this roadmap, the movement has called for a National Ampliado to be held on September 26, 2026, in Lauca Ñ, Cochabamba. This gathering is intended to define political actions and a strategic path in defense of what they term the “democratic and cultural revolution.” Additionally, the group plans to hold departmental congresses by December 2026.
The resolutions, signed by former President Evo Morales and other leaders, include strengthening the commission responsible for managing a political acronym to ensure participation in future electoral processes. The movement also expressed support for Morales' leadership, rejected allegations of “political persecution” against him, and announced a campaign to highlight the achievements of the previous 14 years of government.
