Evolution Metals expands rare earth magnet production

Evolution Metals & Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ: EMAT) is expanding production of rare earth magnets, which are increasingly viewed as a critical component of the modern economy similar to petroleum. These magnets are essential for the motors used in electric vehicles, industrial robots, and automation technologies.

According to the International Energy Agency, demand for rare earth elements used in magnets has doubled since 2015, with projections suggesting a further one-third increase by 2030. The U.S. Department of Energy’s ARPA-E program notes that stronger magnets allow for the development of smaller and more efficient motors.
