Evonik showcases animal nutrition innovations at Brazil's SIAVS 2026
German chemical company Evonik participated in the International Animal Protein Fair (SIAVS 2026) in São Paulo from August 4‑6, presenting a portfolio aimed at improving efficiency and sustainability in animal production. The company's stand featured the probiotic Ecobiol®, designed for poultry and swine with a rapid germination mechanism to enhance gut colonisation, and GuanAmino®, a guanidinoacetic acid (GAA) precursor of creatine that supports high‑energy tissues and offers an arginine‑sparing effect. Evonik also demonstrated the AMINONIR® near‑infrared spectroscopy service for quick, precise analysis of raw materials and feeds.
The GAA ingredient, originally marketed as a performance additive, is now positioned as a strategic multi‑species nutritional tool. It has received EFSA approval for broilers, layers and reproductive birds, and the European Union recently extended its authorization to turkeys in both feed and drinking water. Evonik highlighted field data showing significant weight‑gain improvements in turkeys and stressed the broader relevance of GAA for modern, high‑genetic‑potential production systems.
