Evotec partners with Odyssey Therapeutics to use AI for drug discovery

Evotec (NASDAQ: EVO) has opened its AI‑enabled, data‑driven discovery platform to Odyssey Therapeutics (NASDAQ: ODTX) to search for small‑molecule treatments for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. Under the agreement Odyssey will use Evotec’s high‑throughput experimentation combined with machine‑learning analysis and proprietary compound libraries, and Evotec will receive milestone payments each time a validated hit series is delivered for a target structure.

The deal mirrors a similar platform contract Evotec signed days earlier with Niagen Bioscience and reflects a shift toward earning revenue from the drug‑discovery process itself rather than from a final approved product. “Drug discovery increasingly depends on deep disease biology combined with advanced experimental and computational methods,” said Cord Dohrmann, scientific board member of Evotec.
