Evotec SE appoints Dr. Joanna Holbrook as Chief Scientific Officer

Evotec SE has appointed Dr. Joanna Holbrook as Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) and a member of the Executive Board, effective November 1, 2026.

Dr. Holbrook brings over 25 years of international experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. She joins Evotec from Novo Nordisk, where she served as Therapy Area Head for cardiovascular, renal, and liver diseases, as well as Head of in vitro Discovery Platforms.

In her new role, Dr. Holbrook will lead the company’s global scientific strategy, focusing on differentiation in drug research and development, technology platforms, and proprietary innovations. Her expertise includes multimodal omics technologies, data science, and precision medicine.
