Evren Secures 750 MW Renewable Power Purchase Agreement with NTPC in India

Renewable energy platform Evren, backed by Brookfield, announced a 750 MW power purchase agreement with state‑owned utility NTPC. The deal covers solar, wind and battery storage projects in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan.

When operational, the projects are expected to generate about 2.5 billion units of clean electricity each year and avoid roughly 1.8 million tonnes of carbon‑dioxide emissions. Evren’s CEO Suman Kumar said the agreement demonstrates the company’s scale, quality and execution capabilities. Evren currently has an 11 GW pipeline, with more than 3.5 GW under construction across solar, wind and storage assets.
