Evropi Asfalistiki appoints Irakis Daskalopoulos as General Manager

Evropi Asfalistiki has announced the appointment of Irakis Daskalopoulos as the company’s new General Manager, effective September 1, 2026. Daskalopoulos is a veteran of the Greek insurance market with over 30 years of management experience.

Daskalopoulos holds a degree in Mathematics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a postgraduate degree in Actuarial Science from Bayes Business School, City University, London. His professional background includes serving as General Manager for several large Greek insurance firms, acting as President of the Association of Actuaries of Greece, and serving as Chairman of the Management Committee of the Motor Insurance Pool since 2023.

Nikolaos Makropoulos, Executive Vice President and CEO of Evropi Asfalistiki, stated that Daskalopoulos’s expertise in alternative distribution networks and bancassurance will be vital for the company’s growth. This leadership change occurs as Evropi Asfalistiki integrates into the CrediaBank Group.
