Ewa Chodakowska detained at airport following Lufthansa flight error

Polish fitness trainer and businesswoman Ewa Chodakowska reported a distressing experience during a Lufthansa flight from Frankfurt to Vancouver. The incident began when passengers were informed of a technical fault with one of the aircraft's engines, necessitating a plane change.

Chodakowska stated that a passenger seated behind her engaged in a heated argument with the pilot after being warned that failure to calm down would result in being denied boarding on the replacement aircraft. Chodakowska reported being mistaken for this passenger during the boarding process. As a result, she was stopped at the gate, and the situation escalated to involve airport security and police, requiring her to explain the situation for approximately thirty minutes.

Additionally, Chodakowska shared concerns regarding the aircraft's condition, noting that a staff member allegedly suggested the plane should have been retired five years ago.
