Ewelina Makowska calls for legislative reform at Rozwój Plus forum

Ewelina Makowska, a member of the Bocheński County Board and legal counsel, participated as a panelist at the National Local Government Forum ‘Rozwój Plus’ held in Tomaszów Mazowiecki. The forum, organized by the Rozwój Plus association led by former Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, focused on the functioning of local government units and proposed changes to their operation.

During the discussions, Makowska highlighted legal and procedural barriers that delay the transition from investment decisions to actual implementation. She advocated for legislative changes that would allow local governments to operate more efficiently, quickly, and predictably while maintaining transparency and accountability for public funds.

Makowska emphasized that effective legislation should be developed with the involvement of those who apply it in practice, including local officials, lawyers, experts, and residents. The forum also addressed topics such as local government financing, digitalization of offices, public procurement, transport, housing, and the simplification of investment procedures.
