Ewera launches app for electric vehicle home charging reimbursement

The Saint-Etienne-based startup Ewera has launched a web application designed to simplify the reimbursement of home electricity costs for employees using company electric vehicles. The tool uses vehicle data to measure the exact amount of energy received, addressing a common administrative challenge for businesses.

According to the 2026 Arval Mobility Observatory barometer, 67% of companies have integrated electric or plug-in hybrid vehicles into their fleets. However, managing home charging remains a complex issue. While home charging can reduce costs compared to public infrastructure and alleviate pressure on company parking lots, companies often struggle with reimbursement methods. Using flat-rate monthly allowances can be risky during audits, as URSSAF requires proof that payments correspond to actual professional expenses incurred.
