Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital partners with welfare center for disability care

Ewha Womans University Mokdong Hospital has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Seoul Municipal Yeongdeungpo Welfare Center for the Disabled to improve medical accessibility and integrated care for individuals with disabilities.

The partnership focuses on two primary initiatives: the ‘Support Project for Improving Convenience in Using Medical Institutions for the Disabled’ and the ‘Disability-Friendly Obstetrics and Gynecology Support Project.’ Through this agreement, the two organizations aim to establish a regional cooperation network to enhance health promotion and medical access.

Key areas of cooperation include supporting medical adaptation for adults with developmental disabilities, facilitating maternal health services for women with disabilities, and creating customized medical referral systems based on specific disability types and life cycles. The collaboration also involves sharing pre-treatment information, adjusting clinical movement paths, and providing communication support to improve the hospital experience for patients with disabilities.
