Prince Andrew barred from Buckingham Palace pool as royal tensions rise

Prince Andrew, the former Duke of York, has been denied access to the secret swimming pool inside Buckingham Palace after King Charles stripped him of his royal titles and moved him to a renovated farmhouse, Marsh Farm, on the Sandringham Estate. The pool, built in 1938 for the royal children, was previously used by all of Queen Elizabeth II’s offspring and staff, but a rule now prevents Andrew from using it.

The former prince also surrendered his former residence, Royal Lodge in Windsor, earlier this year and has no pool at his new home. Media reports cite his growing anger toward King Charles, describing him as “seething” and seeking revenge. He has allegedly demanded greater financial support for himself, his ex‑wife Sarah Ferguson, and their daughters, and claims the king has ignored his requests for private meetings.

Andrew has reportedly encouraged his daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, to attend family events despite scrutiny, and he is said to be pursuing compensation from the Crown following his removal from royal duties.
