Ex Teresa Arte Actual hosts Richard Moszka retrospective
The Mexican Secretariat of Culture, through the National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature (INBAL), has inaugurated an exhibition at Ex Teresa Arte Actual titled “Basura de artista. No sé si llorar o ensayar mi risa frívola y banal. Obra, procesos y archivo de Richard Moszka.”
The exhibition offers a comprehensive look at the artistic production, creative processes, and personal materials collected by Richard Moszka (1968–2025), a naturalized Mexican artist, translator, and teacher. The collection includes family photographs, silkscreens, notebooks, clippings, stickers, and personal objects recovered from Moszka’s home.
Organized in collaboration with archive custodian Juan Pablo García Tamés, the show traces various stages of the artist's life, from childhood photographs to his final works. The project aims to expand the museum's documentary archive by making these materials accessible to the public. The exhibition highlights how Moszka's working methods and tools directly influenced his finished artistic results in media such as silkscreen, video, and installation.
