Ex‑BBB star Agostinho Mendonça serves drinks at Rio’s Arraiá festival

Agostinho Mendonça, who finished fourth in the 2006 edition of Brazil’s reality show Big Brother Brasil, was photographed working as a bar attendant during the Arraiá do Baixola charity festival on July 25 in Rio de Janeiro. The event, held at the former footballer Romário’s residence in Barra da Tijuca, featured the former contestant serving alcoholic beverages from a stall, a scene that quickly spread on social media.

Mendonça, now 55, has pursued a varied career after his TV appearance, studying journalism, acting and working in production, security and retail. He told the press he took the bar job to support his family during a difficult economic period. The incident sparked a wave of commentary about the challenges faced by reality‑TV alumni in sustaining livelihoods after fame.
