Excelra acquires Fios Genomics bioinformatics services

Excelra, a global scientific informatics company, has announced that the bioinformatics services and team of Edinburgh-based Fios Genomics Ltd have moved to its scientific consulting group, effective October 20, 2026.

Fios Genomics has specialized for nearly two decades in converting complex omics data into insights for the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and life sciences sectors, with a focus on multi-omics study analysis. The transition aims to provide continuity for existing clients, who will continue to work with the same scientists and utilize the same platform.

The integration combines Fios’ scientific depth with Excelra’s data assets, AI engineering, and broader pool of domain specialists to enhance capabilities in integrative multi-omics, translational insight, and scientific AI.
