Exchange for Change launches retailer survey for DRS readiness

Exchange for Change has launched a monthly anonymous survey to assess retailer readiness for the upcoming Deposit Return Scheme (DRS). The survey aims to gather direct feedback from store owners and managers regarding their preparation levels and any additional information or advice required to prepare staff and facilities for the scheme launch.

Chief Executive Russell Davies stated that retailers are fundamental to the success of the DRS and that the insights gathered will help the organization tailor its communications and support.

In June, Exchange for Change announced £60m in grant funding to assist small, independent retailers with the costs of installing Reverse Vending Machines. The organization also introduced extended exemption criteria for operating return points and confirmed a tiered Return Handling Fee (RHF) to compensate retailers for managing manual and automated deposit returns.
