EXILE members serve as honorary directors at Tokyo Detention House

Members of the musical group EXILE, including Toshio Matsumoto and MAKIDAI, served as honorary one-day directors at the Tokyo Detention House. They participated in the ‘Correctional Exhibition,’ an event designed to showcase the efforts and products created by inmates through prison labor.

During the event, the honorary directors inspected various stalls, including those selling tote bags produced by inmates. Matsumoto encouraged the public to visit and purchase these goods to support the exhibition. MAKIDAI expressed hope that the event would serve as an opportunity for people to become interested in correctional administration.

Attendees at the exhibition included long lines for a booth serving ‘prison curry,’ a dish prepared using recipes from within the detention center.
