Eximbank Chairman to hold dialogue with staff amid leadership changes

Eximbank has announced a direct dialogue between its staff and Chairman Nguyen Le Quoc Anh, scheduled for October 1 at the bank's headquarters in Hanoi. The meeting aims to discuss development directions, customer focus, human resources, and corporate culture as part of the bank's transformation campaign, titled “The Return – Invitation to A Great Journey”.

This dialogue follows significant leadership changes at the bank. Following an extraordinary general meeting in July, the Board of Directors was expanded from five to seven members, with six of the seven positions held by independent members. Many of these new members possess international experience from institutions such as Citibank, HSBC, and Standard Chartered.

Additionally, Pham Thi Huyen Trang is set to transition from Chairwoman to General Director, effective August 1, 2026, following approval from the State Bank. Further restructuring is expected on October 14 during another extraordinary general meeting, which will include a proposal to elect Ms. Trang to the Board of Directors while she maintains her role as General Director.
