Exodus account describes seventy elders witnessing God on Mount Sinai

According to the text of Exodus 24, a group of seventy-four men—including Moses, Aaron, Aaron’s two sons, and seventy elders of Israel—ascended a portion of Mount Sinai to encounter the God of Israel.

This event is described as a unique moment in the Torah where a delegation witnessed the divine presence and participated in a covenant meal, eating and drinking in His presence. The text notes that the ground beneath the divine feet appeared as a pavement of sapphire stone. This meal served as a ratification of the covenant previously sealed with blood at the foot of the mountain.
