Exodus wallet expands into tokenized assets with Exodus Markets launch on Solana
Exodus, the publicly traded self‑custodial wallet, announced the launch of Exodus Markets in partnership with Ondo Finance. The new platform, built on the Solana blockchain, lets users in supported regions buy and sell more than 200 tokenized stocks, exchange‑traded funds and other real‑world assets directly within the Exodus app. Tokenized assets provide economic exposure but do not confer shareholder rights.
The rollout marks Exodus’s shift from a pure wallet to a broader financial platform, allowing customers to trade, spend, send, earn rewards and manage both crypto and tokenized securities in one place. Exodus CEO JP Richardson highlighted the ability to trade tokenized equities with the same direct control expected from crypto assets, while Ondo CEO Ian De Bode said the integration helps scale tokenized markets. The initiative follows Exodus’s earlier tokenization of its own EXOD share in 2021 and joins a growing field of tokenized‑equity offerings.
The tokenized‑stock market is estimated at roughly $32 billion and is expanding rapidly, with daily volumes reaching $3.57 billion in May. The launch positions Exodus to capture part of this emerging market while navigating regulatory constraints on asset availability.
