Exor increases potential stake in Royal Philips to 22%
Royal Philips and Exor N.V. have updated their long-term relationship agreement, granting Exor the flexibility to increase its shareholding in Philips to a cap of 22% of issued ordinary share capital and voting rights. This is an increase from the previous 20% limit. Any further increase in the stake would be subject to approval by the Philips Supervisory Board.
Governance arrangements remain unchanged under the new agreement, including Exor's existing right to nominate one member to the Philips Supervisory Board. Exor remains the largest shareholder in the health technology company.
Separately, recent financial filings indicate increased interest from various institutional investors in Philips stock. Cetera Investment Advisers significantly raised its holdings in the first quarter, while other firms including Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and JPMorgan Chase & Co. also reported increased positions.
