Exor maintains Ferrari stake and seeks 2 billion euro investment

Exor has confirmed it has no plans to reduce its stake in Ferrari, describing the company as “an extraordinary company” that the holding company is “very happy” with. During a conference call regarding semi-annual results, CFO Guido de Boer indicated that while Exor evaluates its portfolio like any investor, there is currently no plan to monetize its Ferrari participation.

The holding company is actively seeking new investments, targeting a 15-20% stake in a listed company with a minimum investment of 2 billion euros. While healthcare, luxury, and technology remain primary interests, Exor is expanding its search to other sectors that offer favorable structural trends and diversification. The group aims to find the “right company, at the right price, and at the right time.”

Exor’s financial position has strengthened, with net debt falling to 1.6 billion euros from 2.5 billion euros at the end of 2025. Following recent and upcoming divestments, such as Lifenet and the expected sale of Iveco to Tata Motors, analysts suggest net debt could be nearly eliminated. This would increase investable liquidity to between 4 billion and 5 billion euros. Additionally, up to 500 million euros are earmarked for a new buyback plan to be completed by March 2027.
