Expeditions: Samurai Early Access Launch Announced for August 7

THQ Nordic and its development studio Campfire Cabal announced that the historical turn‑based RPG Expeditions: Samurai will enter Early Access on Steam on August 7, 2026. The game, set in feudal Japan around 1600, will initially be released for PC with a planned three‑major‑update roadmap during the Early Access period. Player feedback on combat, exploration, stealth, balance and other gameplay elements will shape the content of these updates.

The developers highlighted community involvement as a core part of the process, inviting players to join the Discord server, add the title to their Steam wish‑list and contribute suggestions that may influence the final version. Additional features such as a Hatamoto title and village management are slated for later updates, though they will not be available at the start of Early Access.
