Experimental steam motorcycle and Hyundai electric sedan reach performance milestones
Experimental vehicle technology is seeing breakthroughs in both steam propulsion and high-performance electric mobility. At the Santa Pod Raceway in the United Kingdom, a steam-powered motorcycle named ‘Force of Nature’ achieved a record-breaking quarter-mile time of approximately 5.5 seconds. Unlike traditional internal combustion or electric engines, this motorcycle uses super-pressurized steam expelled through specialized nozzles to generate thrust.
In the electric vehicle sector, Hyundai has released the IONIQ 6 N, a high-performance electric sedan. The vehicle features up to 650 CV and 770 Nm of torque, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds. The model incorporates motorsport-inspired technology, including the world’s first simulated gear shift for a battery electric vehicle (N e-Shift), and has been recognized as the World Performance Car 2026.
