Explore Ha Giang director arrested for suspected tax evasion

Vu Thi Dung, the director of Explore Ha Giang Co., Ltd, has been arrested and prosecuted for suspected tax evasion in Tuyen Quang province. The company, which specializes in international travel services, was established in 2023.

According to the Tuyen Quang Provincial Police, the company failed to declare or pay value-added tax (VAT) and corporate income tax since its inception. Investigators estimate that these actions have caused a loss of billions of Vietnamese dong to the state budget.

On September 10, security investigators executed an arrest warrant for Dung and searched her residence as part of the ongoing investigation. Authorities are currently working to determine the exact amount of evaded taxes and the involvement of any other related individuals or organizations.
