Explosion at cafe in Mannheim, Germany

An explosion occurred early Monday morning at a cafe in the Neckarstadt district of Mannheim, Germany. One person sustained minor injuries and was treated at a hospital following the incident.

Surveillance footage reportedly shows a burning object, resembling a firecracker, being thrown through the cafe's entrance after a window was smashed. The resulting blast caused significant damage to the interior and shattered a storefront window.

Police have ruled out a gas explosion and are currently investigating all possible motives. The cafe owner, Francesco Silva, stated he has no known conflicts and could not explain the attack. Emergency services responded to smoke at the scene, and local streetcar services and road access were temporarily suspended during the investigation.
