Explosions in Sáenz Peña and Monteagudo injure workers in Argentina
A 35‑year‑old electrician was burned on the face, neck and left hand after an electric meter exploded while he was making a connection at a shop in the centre of Presidencia Roque Sáenz Peña. Police and forensic teams investigated, the meter was removed by Secheep and the worker was treated and released from Hospital 4 de Junio.
In Monteagudo, a 43‑year‑old man suffered severe burns covering 60‑65 % of his body when a gas stove exploded in a building on Monteagudo Street. He was taken to the local health centre, underwent emergency surgery and remains in critical condition on a respirator. Health authorities and municipal civil defence continue investigations into the cause of both incidents.
