Explosions reported at missile warehouse near Kiev

Large explosions and fires were reported at a warehouse complex near the village of Milaya in the Kiev region. Local military administration leader Timur Tkachenko confirmed the fire and explosions, which led to the temporary closure of a 17 km stretch of the M-06 Kiev-Chop highway.

Reports indicate the strike occurred around 20:35 using Russian Geran-4 UAVs. The target is believed to be a Ukrainian missile and artillery warehouse, potentially containing cruise missiles or Patriot interceptors. Ukrainian Prime Minister Sergey Koretsky has been briefed on the incident by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Emergency Service.

This follows a previous incident in July at a munitions depot in Vishnevoye, which was part of the state defense conglomerate Ukroboronprom. That explosion led to investigations into the improper storage of ammunition near residential areas and the dismissal of several defense enterprise leaders.
